Season 3 was a huge leap in terms of scale. Not only were the budgets increasing with the Netflix commission, but we now had 6 stories to tackle. The dovetailing in design, prep, shoot and post for this kind of anthology was incredibly challenging, especially for graphics.
My role was to produce key designs, and oversee what became a growing team for season 3, both in the UK and abroad. We were fortunate to lean on the incredibly talented motion graphics team at Painting Practice, and technical wizardry of Revolver to execute huge amounts of in-camera screen content.
Along with Robyn, I was the first of the art crew to join Series Designer Joel Collins as we kicked off S3. Not only to start tackling the strong graphic presence for each episode, but working closely with Joel to develop look-books and tone documents.
In Season 3, we continued to enjoy the graphic “easter eggs” audiences would come to know and love. Key identities such as Tuckers, TCKR, UKN, Barnies and Raimans to name a few.
